Braces consultation
Everything starts with a consultation. You get to know us and already receive important information about the possible treatment options and the planned duration.
Analysis of the misalignment
We examine your tooth or jaw misalignment in detail using state-of-the-art diagnostic methods such as digital scans, photos and cephalometric and panoramic X-rays. The result is a comprehensive treatment plan that sets out in detail how many aligners we will use to treat your misalignment.

Invisible orthodontic treatment
We arrange an appointment at which your orthodontic treatment begins, using the best possible method for you. For permanent teeth, treatment is carried out with invisible aligners, which let us achieve the best possible results in the shortest possible time — and all of it unnoticed by your classmates, because the aligners are invisible.
The two methods compared
Even complex orthodontic corrections are possible with invisible aligners. At our practice, we’ll be happy to advise you together with your parents on which option is right for you.
Invisible aligners
- Transparent and almost invisible – no bullying at school
- Removable for eating and brushing your teeth
- Comfortable to wear: no metal or wires in your mouth at all
- No restrictions on leisure time, sport or music
- Lower risk of tooth decay, plaque and bacteria thanks to better oral hygiene
- Thanks to 3D simulation, you can see your desired result right at the start of treatment
- Fewer check-ups needed than with fixed braces (every 10–14 weeks)
- If one gets lost, a new aligner can be made quickly
Fixed braces (brackets)
- We use self-ligating brackets – for gentler, more comfortable treatment
- Shorter treatment time and shorter appointments
- Easier oral hygiene, as they’re smaller than traditional brackets
- Firmly bonded and not removable – so they can’t be forgotten
- Needed if the correction could not be achieved with the aligner method because of its limited ability to apply force

Retention
Once we’ve achieved your dream smile with the invisible aligners, we begin the aftercare or retention phase. This means that, using special technologies, we make sure for almost a year that your teeth stay in their new position.

The clinical findings. Invisible braces are suitable for any misalignment from IOTN 1 to 5, whereas free braces (Gratis Zahnspange) covered by health insurance are only available for severe misalignments (IOTN 4 and 5) when treatment starts before the 18th birthday. All about free braces
Visibility and freedom: invisible aligners are barely noticeable, can be taken out for eating and brushing, and don’t get in the way of sport or playing music. Fixed braces are visible and require more care with oral hygiene.
Both lead to straight teeth. What matters is which method suits the findings and your everyday life. That’s exactly what we discuss at the consultation — honestly, with all the pros and cons.
Yes. If it turns out during treatment that a different option is a better fit, we credit the difference fairly — nothing you’ve already paid is lost.
Check-ups are only needed every 10 to 14 weeks. With Dental Monitoring, invisible aligners mean up to 75% fewer visits to the practice.
