Activities such as sport or playing a musical instrument can be carried on without any problems or restrictions.

Simply invisible aligners

Simply invisible

Invisible aligners are practically completely transparent. Chances are, nobody will even notice that you’re wearing these almost invisible “braces”. They fit seamlessly into your lifestyle without affecting how you interact with others every day.

Easy in everyday life

Short on time? Want an uncomplicated way to your dream smile? Then invisible aligners combined with our unique New York method are exactly right for you. What you can expect: a short treatment time, few appointments, easy hygiene and pain-free wear.

Because you can take the aligners out at any time, nothing stands in the way of enjoying your favourite food. You can also brush your teeth as usual and even have a professional teeth cleaning. But please make sure you wear the aligners for around 22 hours a day.

How do invisible aligners work?

In treatment with invisible aligners, misaligned teeth are corrected by a series of aligners made individually for you, which makes them very comfortable. These so-called “aligners” are almost impossible to see on the teeth.

Aligners can be used to treat the vast majority of tooth misalignments in adults and teenagers. Whether your smile only needs a slight improvement or more extensive adjustments, invisible aligners can help. They are successful in treating crowding and gaps, but they can also bring relief for more complex problems such as overbite, deep bite and even crossbite. Thanks to our experience, we can treat almost any misalignment with invisible aligners.

How long and how often should invisible aligners be worn?

This is where your cooperation and motivation come in! The smile you want is a team effort, and we’re on your team — so the more you wear your aligners, the faster you’ll get your dream smile.

It takes a fair amount of discipline to stick to the recommended wearing time of 22 hours. But because the aligners are invisible, most teens find it easy anyway. The aligners only come out for eating and cleaning your teeth.

Treatment works best when the aligners are worn for at least 20 to 22 hours a day. That’s why we check the progress of your tooth movement at regular intervals. Your aligners are tailored to your needs and come with special features:

  • a blue colour indicator dot on the aligner that shows whether it has been worn for the optimal time — so there’s no cheating! Over time, the dot slowly fades, so that together we can better judge how long the aligners have been worn
  • your aligners are specially designed so that they don’t hinder the eruption of the canines, premolars and molars

What happens if an invisible aligner gets lost?

If your aligners mysteriously disappear or you misplace them, we can order new ones at any time.

My daughter had crowding and a crossbite, which were treated with Invisalign in 13 months. The result is really great — we can only recommend the Eltz orthodontic practice.

How long does treatment with aligners take?

Because every patient is different, treatment times can vary. As a rule, treatment takes between 9 and 18 months. In most cases, check-ups with us are only needed every 10–14 weeks.

For smaller corrections, treatment takes 6 months on average and can be completed in less than 3 months if you change your aligners weekly.

Are invisible aligners right for me?

Even complex orthodontic corrections are possible with invisible aligners. Fixed braces only need to be chosen if the correction could not be achieved with the aligner method because of its limited ability to apply force, if you weren’t disciplined and motivated enough to wear the aligners consistently, or if cost considerations speak against this treatment. At our practice, we’ll be happy to advise you together with your parents on which option is right for you! Straightening your teeth shouldn’t hold you back and should of course fit in with your active lifestyle.
