We use self-ligating brackets. They offer our patients a whole range of advantages.

The advantages of self-ligating brackets
During orthodontic treatment, static friction and sliding resistance occur between the wire and the brackets when the wire moves in the bracket slots.
Thanks to the specific mechanics of these brackets, the resistance is significantly lower than with conventional brackets, in which the wire is held in the bracket slots by an elastic ligature.
For the patient, this means a much more comfortable treatment: you feel less tension in your teeth. The forces acting on the teeth are much gentler, but continuous.
- gentler, more comfortable treatment
- shorter treatment time and shorter appointments
- easier oral hygiene
Shorter treatment time and shorter appointments
The elastic ligatures of conventional brackets quickly lose their force and have to be replaced. As a result, the intensity of the treatment varies over its entire duration.
Because the forces act continuously, we can achieve results much faster with these brackets.
In addition, many of the extra appliances used in traditional orthodontics are unnecessary with these brackets. This means the doctor has fewer steps to carry out at your appointment. That is more comfortable for the patient, and it also means your appointments at the practice don’t take as long.

Easier oral hygiene
Self-ligating brackets are also smaller than traditional ones. This makes it easier for patients to maintain optimal oral hygiene. They can reach the teeth and the spaces between them more easily.
Furthermore, elastic ligatures discolour easily and can become a collecting point for bacteria. Our system solves this problem.
